Not as good as the first one. The family characters are fun, but I wouldn't mind if Katherine had her own book. It ends with nothing being accomplished. No dead Narou or anything else of any account. I'm not sure what the point was. There's no segway into a third book. Heck, I haven't even seen a vague reference to a coming third book. This one just leaves the reader hanging.Unless you have solid information about a third book, I wouldn't even start the first one.

I enjoyed the book

I'm still waiting for the Nauro to show up. He had like two appearances!
This book was a filler book basically filled with stupid banter and meaningless conversations.
David is a recluse because his dad the king is murdered, Kathryn is overworked and the other family members are just bleh.
The entire book was spent running up and down through the countryside on a fools errand.
The title is so misleading, literally nothing really happens. And I'm confused but how stupid Jasse and the other guardians is that they don't suspect someone on the council is in league with the brotherhood. I was bored with that whole storyline. All in all this book was a waste of time and I won't be reading the next.
Not as good as the last book but it was still very enjoyable. It had lots of action.
I like how it how the author does not focus all of the attention on the Kathryn and David but also focus on the feelings/emotions of the other team members.
Will be buying the next book.
There is plenty of action, great dialogue between the characters. So much going on in both sub plots. It's great t that the author keeps the characters real, grounded. My only regret is waiting for the next book. I love this story and all the intrigue that goes with it.
